The Atlantic, Pacific or Indian oceans had zero hurricanes, cyclones or tropical storms on Sept. 8, 2013, according to NASA.
That's relatively rare for that time of year in the northern hemisphere - the peak of the hurricane and cyclone season, according to NASA.
But plenty of clouds and smaller storms were over the oceans that day, including the roots of Tropical Storm Humberto in the Atlantic, according to NASA.
